Principal Responsibilities – Reporting to the Financial Controller

  • Production of management reporting and periodic regulatory returns to the PRA
  • Undertake all elements of regulatory reporting (SII QRT’s, NAIC Reporting)
  • Ensure the business is prepared for Solvency II Pillar III reporting, eventually implementing and undertaking Solvency II Pillar III reporting
  • Management and reconciliation of the general ledger for UK Regulated entities
  • Ensure integrity of automatic data feeds into the general ledger system
  • Investment reporting using the Clearwater System
  • Statutory accounts preparation for UK entities
  • Review all statutory accounts and restate for the forthcoming changes to UK GAAP  (FRS I0I IFRS102)
  • Group reporting under US GAAP
  • Preparation of audit working papers
  • Preparation of annual budget
  • Management of a CIMA trainee team member who will require coaching, guidance and development
  • Be committed to the maintenance of high quality working papers and documentation
  • Ad hoc projects and reporting

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • ACA I ACCA I CIMA Qualified
  • A minimum of five years post qualification experience of working for an insurance or reinsurance company in the UK
  • A knowledge of PRA requirements as they apply to insurance and reinsurance companies;
  • Experience of SII Pillar III implementation (or preparation of QIS) would be beneficial
  • Knowledge of Kypera General Ledger and/or SUN 5 would be beneficial;
