Major City based Insurance Company requires an experienced Accountant to work as part of a team responsible Maintaining  the financial accounting function:

  • Preparation of monthly UK management accounts including monthly management reports, specific insurance/reinsurance reports, and other required analyses
  • Analytical review and commentary on management accounts, as required
  • Preparation and review of financial schedules for Board report
  • Documentation, reconciliation and analysis of interfaces to the General Ledger for insurance business, profit commission and outwards reinsurance
  • Review of balance sheet accounts as part of the month end close process e.g. fixed assets, accruals and prepayments, accrued interest income
  • Review and authorisation of the booking of G&A expenses into the general ledger
  • Tie in of external actuarial report data to accounting ledgers
  • Preparation of budget and forecast data for General and Admin expenses of the UK companies
  • Day to day management of the company’s bank accounts
  • Preparation of quarterly VAT returns
  • Preparation of non UK regulatory returns as required
  • Preparation of statutory accounts under IFRS for at least one of the UK group of companies

Candidates should be Qualified with Insurance Experience
